Press Release
The Bewildered People’s Party of NZ is struggling with appallingly low recognition in current political polls roughly zero, with a margin for error of plus or minus two percent.
Party leader Tony Steemson has denounced this as scandalous.
``We have some truly wonderful policies in place, yet we are totally ignored by the media, the pollsters, the general public and even by Richard Prebble.
``I just don’t understand what’s going on, as usual,’’ he says.
``I admit that, at this late stage, there is very little hope for me either as a list candidate or an electoral candidate,’’ Mr Steemson said.
``But we take heart from the fact that there are clearly a number of well-established MPs likely to be re-elected who are bewildered enough to qualify as members of my great party, and we hope they will join up at the earliest opportunity.
``When they get around to studying our policies, they will, I am sure, be deeply impressed. And we only need half a dozen or so to come over to us, then we’ll be able to seize the balance of power immediately after the election and basically take over the Government.’’
He says the BPP is currently based in Tauranga, but plans to move to Wellington if elected or anything. A number of wonderful BPP policies can be seen at
