- The Alliance has launched their economic policy package which aims to create 80,000 new jobs, largely through
regional development. They plan to establish a Department for Economi c Development and Employment and an Economic

Ten Plutonium Cargoes Per Year From Europe To Japan
- Ten nuclear cargoes of weapons-usable plutonium fuel are to travel from Europe to Japan each year via South Africa.
In light of this information, Greenpeace to day urged all potential en route nations concerned to redouble their efforts

Watson Trial - Hair Likely From Olivia, Defence Go On Offense
- A forensic scientist said today that DNA analysis on a blonde hair found on Watson's boat showed that the hair was
very likley to have come from Oliv ia Hope. The tests on the DNA were done in Australia and similar tests in Britain
confirmed the findings. The defence for Watson are suggesting that the hairs were mixed up in the lab and that the hairs
tested may be samp le hairs from Olivia's room. The forensic scientist said she couldn't completely rule the possibility
out.
Big Brother Fears in DNA Database
- In the Auckland High Court last week it was revealed that since 1969 heel-prick blood samples have been taken at
birth from all babies and stored without informed consent. Today in the Scott Watson trial such samples from Olivia Hope
