NEWSFLASH: Samoan Assassin Sentenced To Death

Scoop understands that in a Samoan Court this morning the son of a Western Samoan politician has pleaded guilty to the murder of the Samoan Minister of Public works.
Scoop further understands that he has been sentenced to death.
The Public Works Minister was assassinated last month in a single shot to the head at a political rally. Two others have also been charged with the murder including a former cabinet minister.
Today is Friday in Samoa and it is around 2pm. Scoop has no firm confimation of this report at this stage.
