Comedy Of Errors - Vote Count Changes Again

Published: Wed 28 Jul 1999 09:21 PM
Believe it or not, but the final vote in the move to an 18 year old minimum drinking age has been amended for a third time.
To a roar from the House, National Chief Whip, John Carter said one proxy vote had not been cast at all and this was for the ayes.
Hopefully this means the final vote is finally 59 to 55 in favour of a move to a drinking age of 18.
