The House: Home Invasion Law Passes

The Crimes (Home Invasion) Amendment Bill has passed by 62 to 58 this afternoon.
There has been extensive coverage of the passage of this law throughout The Scoop and readers should trawl through the headlines wire to see this.
The House is currently try to complete all remaining stage of the Veterans' Affairs Bill by agreement of the House. If this is done before 6pm, the Criminal Justice Amendment Bill (No. 6) is next on the Order Paper.
Next week is a one week recess to coincide with the school holidays before MPs return to continue the long winter session.
