A Photo Essay “Sempy’s Xmas”
By Kent Blechynden
Michael “Semp” Semple is an old school punk rocker from New Plymouth who is on the methadone programme.
He has recently been hit by a car outside his flat in which he suffered leg and foot injuries and has left him temporally in a wheel chair.
He spends most of his time in his bedroom watching TV, listening to music, vaping and smoking his hookah pipe.
On Christmas day he thought he would be alone but two of his mates, “Mikey” and “Stacey”, turned up for some banter.
