The first Members’ Day of the year will be held today though a local bill and a private bill will eat into the time available.
After Question Time and the General Debate MPs are scheduled to debate the second reading of the Tasman District Council (Validation and Recovery of Certain Rates) Bill and the Sullivan Birth Certificate Bill.
The second reading of the Electronic Transactions (Contract Formation) Amendment Bill in the name of Paul Goldsmith will follow and if time allows the first reading of the Electronic Data Safety Bill as well.
The long delayed first reading of Hone Harawira’s Education (Breakfast and Lunch Programmes in Schools) Amendment Bill which could possibly have taken place today was postponed again by agreement of the Business Committee.
