A number of bills were reported back from select committee when Parliament resumed today including one covering social security fraud
At 2pm select committee reports were presented on:
Land Transport and Road User Charges Legislation Amendment Bill by the Transport and Industrial Relations Committee
2012/13 financial review of the Takeovers Panel by the Commerce Committee
Complaint regarding the New Zealand (Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code) Food Standards 2002, Amendment No 53 by the Regulations Review Committee
Petition 2008/117 of Neville Donaldson on behalf of SFWU Nga Ringa Tota by the Primary Production Committee
Social Security (Fraud Measures and Debt Recovery) Amendment Bill by the Social Services Committee
The Statutes Amendment Bill (No 4) was introduced.
The House then congratulated Brendon McCullum for being the first New Zealand cricketer to score a triple century and MPs then began Question Time.
