House Makes Rapid Progress

MPs sped through a number of bills this evening completing the committee stage of Subantarctic Islands Marine Reserves Bill taking all parts as one debate on a voice vote.
MPs then began the committee stage of the Airports (Cost Recovery for Processing of International Travellers) Bill and all parts were completed without debate and on a voice vote within a few minutes.
The third reading debate of the Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa Bill was also completed by 64 to 56 with National, Maori Party, ACT, United Future and Brendan Horan in favour.
The House rose just before 10pm interrupting the committee stage of the Trade (Safeguard Measures) Bill.
