Mammoth Bill Up For Debate

Published: Thu 5 Dec 2013 10:56 AM
One of the largest bills of recent times will be debated in Parliament this afternoon.
After Question Time MPs are scheduled to debate the first reading of the Judicature Modernisation Bill. The bill covering more than 1100 pages overhauls the Judicature Act 1908 following a Law Commission review. It covers in minute detail the administration of the judiciary.
This will be followed by the Taxation (Annual Rates, Foreign Superannuation, and Remedial Matters) Bill’s second reading.
