TICS Bill Progresses

The Government completes the committee stage of the telecommunications interception bill this afternoon and it is now set for its third and final reading on Thursday.
After Question Time MPs returned to the interrupted committee stage debate of the Telecommunications (Interception Capability and Security) Bill.
The bill completed its committee stage hearing by 61 to 59 with National, ACT and United Future supporting it being reported with amendment
MPs began the first reading debate on the Members of Parliament (Remuneration and Services) Bill.
