Today the Prime Minister announced a review of MP expense rules, which he says create perverse incentives around accommodation assistance.
The PM heads to Cairns tomorrow for the Pacific Leaders Forum, which he says will focus on the economic crisis. Key and his Australian counterpart Kevin Rudd will present their report on the crisis’s impact on the Pacific.
Key also says: a bill will be introduced this week with the aim of removing the defence of provocation, the SAS has not been deployed to Afghanistan, the Section 59 law change is working, and the youth employment package will not put older people out of a job.
