Scoop Audio: Cuba's Ambassador to New Zealand discusses the UN General Assembly vote to lift the US embargo against Cuba. The vote, Thursday NZ Time, was passed 185 votes to 3 with only the US, Israel and Palau voting against. Last year the vote was 184 to 5. This year Albania joined the ayes and two small Pacific States the Marshall Islands and Micronesia chose to abstain. The Ambassador also issued a press statement on the decision. This is the 17th time the UN General Assembly has voted to lift the US embargo against Cuba.
