Facing impeachment over a raft of charges, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf announced his resignation overnight, and
the people of Pakistan breathed a sigh of relief. Five Rupees blogger and University of Chicago political science phD
student Ahsan Butt is on the phone from Pakistan to talk about the events leading up to Musharraf's resignation, and
what it will take to establish a stable democracy in the country.

The Aotearoa Development Cooperative is a group who have taken on the ambitious task of strengthening grassroots
communities around the world by setting up microfinance schemes in poor areas. Their first project is underway now in
Myanmar, of all places. Andrew Colgan from the ADC will be in to talk about the challenges of setting up such a project
under what is probably the toughest military regime in the world.
