Sean the Wellington Zoo sun bear was too lazy to walk to the dentist so the staff of the Wellington Zoo had to carry the
lazy fellow in the style of an Egyptian despot of Pharaoenic times.

The treatment of Sean had aroused anger among the Zoos Meerkats who promptly went on strike – this may be the last shot
of a Meerkat on its hind legs while the impromptu rolling stoppages lasted.

Unfortunately there was some early confusion relating to Sean's treatment and it took some time before an amateur
podiatrist would leave Sean's feet alone so that the dental work could begin.

Eventually...the dental work began.
Scoop Note: These pictures were supposed to run a couple of weeks ago but there was some debate as to the cuteness factor of Sean.
Initially a bear having his teeth cleaned seemed a winner but on closer inspection Sean's tongue was deemed a bit yucky.
Finally however Scoop is proud to have brought the striking Meerkats and Sean's overlong tongue to the public.
