Tensions have flared up again in Fiji with more talk this week that another coup is not far away. Helen Clark and Winston Peters have done some skilful negotiating to get Fiji's Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and army commander Frank Bainimarama together in Wellington today for last-minute talks, to try and avert a crisis. But with both parties thus far refusing to bend to the other's demands, what's the likelihood that talks will succeed?
12:45 Bill Harris – Professor of Political Studies, Otago University.
The Pope's high-profile visit to Turkey this week has sparked protests from thousands of Turkish Muslims. They're angry about a speech given by Benedict the 16 th in September, in which he quoted a 14th century Christian emperor who described Islam as evil and inhuman. In the same week, the country's EU accession talks have hit a stumbling block after Turkey refused to lift a trade emgargo against Cyprus.

Live Like You Love Me is a sustainable living webzine that was created out of the recent Future Leaders Programme, run in partnership with the NZ Leadership Institute. The programme challenged participants to find an issue they were passionate about, and bring it to life.
1:30 Tessa Irving - Dear New Zealand
Another project that's come out of the Future Leaders Programme is Dear New Zealand. In this day and age, dialogue is part and parcel of a participatory democracy, and Dear New Zealand is all about giving a voice to young New Zealanders who have something to say.
