Auditor-General: Validation Bill Under Urgency Today - Nats To Oppose
National Party Leader Don Brash says the National Party will oppose the bill being introduced to validate expenditure found by the Auditor-General to be unlawful. "This is nothing more than a cynical exercise in self interest. National will hold Labour and other parties to account as they seek to pass this bill under urgency. "It is very clear that at least some of the parties in Parliament have no intention of paying back what they owe and today those parties intend to change the law to remove their obligation to do so. Foreign Minister Winston Peters today said he was disappointed by comments from Fiji's military commander, Commodore
Voreqe Bainimarama, calling on the Fiji government to "resign or else." "New Zealand is very concerned about the
Commander's threats that he will overthrow the legitimate government in Suva if it does not do what he says," Mr Peters

Regulation: Daily Bread About To Be Baked By Govt Recipe
The Green Party is issuing a last minute appeal to the Minister of Food Safety Annette King, to allow organic breads to
be exempt from mandatory folate fortification requirements, and thus protect consumer choice. A final decision on
whether to require the mandatory fortification of all bread with folate will be made by the Ministerial Council of Food

The United Nations Security Council’s resolution on North Korea is a decisive response to Pyongyang’s claims of having
