Justice: Govt Holds Iranian Refugee Hostage In Mt Eden Prison
For the past 23 months Thomas Yadegary, an Iranian, has been imprisoned without charge or trial in Auckland’s Mt Eden prison. Global Peace And Justice Auckland (GPJA) states while Iran is not safe for him to return, the government has been pressuring him to sign an agreement absolving the Minister from responsibility in the likely case that Thomas is arrested, tortured or killed on his return to Iran. Politics News: Peters Claims National Knows Who Leaked The Emails
- Foreign Minister Winston Peters says he's aware who the email-mole is inside the National Party. He informed TVNZ's Agenda programme on Saturday that
an "insider stole them from inside the National Party". Mr Peters said he had a good idea who the person was, but
distanced himself from any wrongdoing in acquiring the e-mails. He said he knew where they came from "and I've got good

Defence News: Queen Refuses VC Recommendation For Haane Manahi – Again
- "The Government, Te Arawa people and the Manahi VC Committee have reached agreement with Buckingham Palace over a

- A vote of no confidence in Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has been deferred until next Friday. The

US Pressure To End Martial Law In Thailand
- BANGKOK, Thailand -- The American Embassy on Wednesday (October 4) pressured Thailand's military junta to lift
martial law within 10 days, but coup leader Gen. Sonthi Boonyaratkalin warned of problems "if martial law is lifted too
