Fashion News: Zambesi Was The Highlight Of Fashion Week
- Arguably the most anticipated show on the schedule, and the final show of the week, last night Zambesi gave us sexy edginess in a directional show. Held at the Westhaven Marina, the show commenced with searchlights strobing the venue and ambient spooky music, which progressed into the Jaws soundtrack – somehow this managed not to be cheesy! Fashion News: Red Riding Hood Inspires Kate Sylvester Show
- Kate Sylvester Little Red Riding Hood Fur and wool coats, hoods and snoods ruled the catwalk at the Kate Sylvester Autumn/Winter collection show. Inspired by the story of Little Red Riding Hood, Kate certainly set the mood with a dark forest backdrop, glowing eyes projected on the walls and the sounds of wolves howling echoing around the hall. Fashion: First Solo Show Brings New Vision To Fashion Week
- Jane Rhodes bought a new vision and focus to her first solo show at Air New Zealand Fashion Week. Entitled Art Forms in Nature, inspiration was drawn from the drawings of botanist Ernst Haeckel. A gorgeous bird print was a favourite, printed on gold silk sleeveless dresses and skirts. Colour tones throughout the collection were pulled from the print; pea green, maroon, baby blue, and shades of brown. See... Fashion: Huffer Stamps Its Mark On NZ Fashion Week
- Distinctly New Zealand label Huffer made their debut at this year’s ANZFW, with one of the most anticipated shows on the schedule. Held off-site at the Huffer headquarters on Queen Street, royal antique chairs surrounded the catwalk which was formed from their workbench. The Electric Confectionaries band provided ear candy with a lounge-y rock’n’roll sound and there were more photographers than I had seen at any other show! See... Fashion: Miranda Brown's Marama Turns Up The Artistic Heat
- A body painted model wearing nothing but red corduroy shorts opened Miranda Brown’s show named Marama. Rather than the less wearable, “artistic” show some may have expected, the designer offered a pleasing array of frocks, coats, skirts and more casual vests and hoodies. See... Fashion: Liz Mitchell Lines Up An Eye Opener At Fashion Week
- Fashionz.co.nz writes: the sound of waves breaking onto shore, the sand and shells on the catwalk and the filmy tresses of chiffon ‘seaweed’ through which the models walked, all set the scene for Liz Mitchell’s “Undercurrent” collection. It was pure Liz Mitchell – so very beautiful, so very accomplished. See... Fashionz.co.nz: Liz Mitchell At NZ Fashion Week
