Scoop Doco: Jihad Battle Mounts Against West's Propaganda
- The United States dominion over 'psy-ops' and propaganda is no longer unchallenged. Islamic insurgents throughout the
Muslim world are producing digital video clips with ever-increasing sophistication. The products of this technological
revolution carry a double-edged message of 'glory' for youthful 'martyrs' and vengeance against the West. Scoop has
obtained video footage - delivered via underground networks and otherwise - originating from Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan,
Chechnya, Turkistan, Algeria and Palestine. The propaganda's message suggests the Islamic fight against U.S. imperialism
and that of the West is spreading - becoming more sophisticated. See... Psy-Ops Countered By Islamic Digital Propaganda [1] ALSO:

[1] Last week senior lecturer in communications at Auckland's Unitec, Peter Thompson, wrote an opinion piece on the bust-up between Dr Cullen and the media where he rejected Dr Cullen's implication that tax break hungry journos were picking on Dr Cullen but nevertheless found the media to have been biased. This morning Mr Thompson explained to RDU's breakfast host that in his opinion the media had gone beyond reporting the views of the opposition and had in fact become the opposition regarding tax . Health: Mammogram Waiting List Extends Beyond A Year
- Women aged between 45 and 49 years are waiting up to a year for a mammogram, says National Party Associate Health
spokeswoman Dr Jackie Blue. Answers to parliamentary written questions reveal huge delays in mammogram waiting times for
some women aged 45 to 49 years. The extension of screening by BreastScreen Aotearoa to include women aged 45 to 49 was
announced in February 2004. See... Women waiting up to a year for mammograms [1]
Scoop Report: Russel Norman To Steer Greens With Fitzsimons -
This afternoon one of the backroom boys of the Green Party stepped out into the limelight. Australian import but now
proud Kiwi Russel Norman beat current Green MP Nandor Tanczos, former MP Mike Ward and Auckland academic Dave Clendon to
fill the role left vacant following Rod Donald's death last year. Mr Norman stuck to two key messages during his speech
at the annual Green Party conference - messages that seemd to resonate with the delegates – Climate Change and
Transport. See... Russel Norman Wins Green Co-Leadership Contest [1] Green Co Leader's Speeches:Russel Norman - Learning from Easter Island [2] Jeanette Fitzsimons - Left, Right and the Elephant [3]

Entertainment: Is The Beehive Phone Budget Being Used To Keep Hide Dancing?
[1] There's a mystery in New Zealand at the moment and it involves slimmed down ACT leader Rodney Hide and his ability to gather enough votes to stay on TVNZ's light entertainment spectacular – Dancing with the Stars. Pacific: NZ Foreign Minister Peters Visits Vanuatu & Cook Islands
- The New Zealand foreign minister, Winston Peters, hopes a group of new MPs he’ll take to Vanuatu and the Cook Islands
next week will get a better understanding of the problems faced by politicians in those countries. Mr Peters trip, which
will also include business people and members of NGOs, is a continuation of visits his two predecessors undertook to

AIDs: Knee Deep in UN Hopes & Concerns
- "I am angry tonight", said UNAIDS Executive Director, Peter Piot addressing the Ford Foundation's hosted reception
for the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS. "The negotiations are terrible," he said before warning the audience that he
is deeply concerned that we end up with weaker statements than that of 2001 when we – member states – should really
intensify our commitment and actions. See... AIDs in Pacific: Knee Deep in UN hopes & concerns [1] ALSO:Special UN meeting on AIDS: New national targets [2] AIDs: Celebrities, activists join diplomats at UN [3]

who served in Timor-Leste during earlier military operations. Of the 42 personnel based in Dili, 19 have deployed to
(then) East Timor between 1999 and 2003 as part of six battalion rotations. See... Timor Veterans Return [1] and NZDF In Timor [2] ALSO:

Polygamy: The Polygamist Mormon's Private – yet Govt. Funded - Airport
- The first shock is the realization that an airport costing Americans $3 million exists in the polygamist-owned
Arizona wastelands of Colorado City. It sits "Spielberg-like" north of the Grand Canyon, east of the Colorado River and
serves a handful of planes. How and why it materialized is the second shock. But most disturbing is what a town of
outlaw cultists might be using an isolated airstrip for under the radar. See... The AZ Polygamy Town Airport Built With Fed $$$Mns [1]
American Coup: - Robert F. Kennedy Junior On Election Theft 2004
- Like many Americans, I spent the evening of the 2004 election watching the returns on television and wondering how
the exit polls, which predicted an overwhelming victory for John Kerry, had gotten it so wrong. By midnight, the
official tallies showed a decisive lead for George Bush - and the next day, lacking enough legal evidence to contest the
results, Kerry conceded. Republicans derided anyone who expressed doubts about Bush's victory as nut cases in "tinfoil
hats," while the national media, with few exceptions, did little to question the validity of the election. The
Washington Post immediately dismissed allegations of fraud as "conspiracy theories," and The New York Times declared
that "there is no evidence of vote theft or errors on a large scale." See... Robert F. Kennedy Jr: Was the 2004 Election Stolen [1] RELATED: Ron Baiman - Manjoo RFK Jnr. Iraq: Cindy Sheehan On The Abominations Of War
- This is the most difficult article that I have ever had to write, but I have to write it anyway, unfortunately. I and
just about anyone and everyone who criticizes George Bush and this war are accused of "not supporting the troops." Since
my son, Casey, was killed in Iraq because of lies and to actually make that country safe for our corporate interests, I
have been saying the only way we can support our troops at this point is to get them the hell out of this illegal and
immoral war. See… The Abominations of War From My Lai to Haditha [1] MORE: Larry C.
