Mr Rodney Hide and Krystal - their dance of love didn't impress the judges but thanks to the public Mr Hide will fight
another day
******
Last week the Prime Minister pointed out that she didn't have time in her busy schedule to sit down and watch TVNZ's Dancing With the Stars – after Scoop paid a visit to the magical Avalon studios we consider the PM should make the time.
The first sight to greet Scoop in the Avalon foyer was ACT leader Rodney Hide chatting on a cellphone with a slashed to
the waist sparkly black shirt. Later on Scoop had the pleasure of seeing former WINZ boss Christine Rankin involved in a
slow dance of love wearing the sort of costume that would probably have lead to a heart attack for her former boss Mark
Prebble.

This sort of behaviour from a former top public servant may be the stuff of State Service Commissioner Mark Prebble's
nightmares - sadly for Christine Rankin a slow grinding rumba was not to the public's taste either
******
Sadly the split skirts of Christine Rankin were not enough to save her from being the first celebrity to be eliminated
from the nation's premier ballroom dancing television light entertainment extravaganza.
Though Rodney Hide's dance of love (the Rumba) was easily the worst effort from all the celebrities – the battling Epsom
MP raw unbridled macho charisma seemed to have struck a cord with the text voters and he remains to fight another day
with his orange tinged dance partner Krystal.
For Scoop's money by far the best of the celebrities was Danyon Loader - however the teen pulling power of David
Wikaira-Paul should see him and Tim Shadbolt's former dance partner, the lovely Rebecca, make it to the final - possibly
.
