Trace Maoists In Kathmandu
Ms Jyoti from Nepal
Nepal government Tuesday asked capital residents to cooperate in search of houses to trace Maoists who have infiltrated Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist) has officially announced the general strike of seven political parties is also theirs. Maoist Chairman Prachanda and Baburam Bhattarai announced this Sunday.
When the country's situation has deteriorated, the political parties, who should have worked to correct the situation, themselves are giving continuity to abnormal situation. Thus, the political parties missed a golden opportunity instead they created further confusion and suspicions. If there were cooperation it would have helped but as there was not it just added some more complications.
The present situation of the country is probably the most critical in the history of the country. The state and the Maoists are fighting which is killing dozens of people are being killed everyday and hundreds of others are being made to disappear by both the sides. People are made homeless. In this situation, all the political forces should have come together to solve the Maoist problem, which is looming large over the country.
All the political parties are only thinking about how they could fulfill their vested interests and how they could regain to power. Tomorrow, if the King restates the parliament they will again work covertly on how to bring a no-confidence motion against the one in power. The UML will try to oust the Congress government and the Congress will play another trick to remove the UML. If the parliament is reinstated there will be tug-of-war on who should form the government. No one cares for the country and the people.
And on the other side Maoists terrorists have been axed to death following a people. when His Majesty the King has repeatedly committed faith on democracy the political parties launching their agitation just to gain power has no meaning.
The message of His Majesty the King on the Constitution Day has mentioned that the active participation all those who believe in multi-party democracy is imperative and that this is also what people want. It has given a clear message that all those with faith on democracy should stand on the same platform to seek solution of the Maoist problem.
