Palestine Shrouded in Sorrow Resurrects
By Genevieve Cora Fraser
Laser guided bombs
Search and destroy
Explode rocks
Homes and pastures
Sow seeds of desolation
Blasts
Ground into air
Littered bodies
Dismembered
Does anybody care?
Pastoral scenes twisted
Into a horror movie
Show Israeli Occupation
Forces hatred to grow
With death sprouting
Endless crimson
Streams blend
Encased in a prison
The human heart rends
Starved and mistreated
Pounded into hell
Militants vow revenge
Israel’s response
Go to hell
Grind them into oblivion
Shells burst through the air
Factories gutted in flames
Hope shredded in despair
Cars blasted reduced to ashes
Roofs littered with fragments
Families gutted die
Pay for democracy
Hypocrisy’s lie
The Victims are hostile
No homage to Zion pay
While Israel fires thousands
Of shells every minute, every second
Every day missiles fly like birds on high
From land, from sea and air
You can feel them overhead
Death chasing you
Everywhere but the Resistance
Is not broken
But fueled by the vicious spell
Isolation
Racist onslaught
Broadcast propaganda sells
But Palestinians
Endured
Thousands of years
Ancient tales
Do tell
Shrouded
Mystic haunted
Crucifixion’s
Mind over matter
The Alchemist’s
Leaden death
To golden promise
Transforms
While Israel of old
Has come and gone
Palestine like a river
Moves on and on
And on
ENDS
