Scoop News: Police Say Fugitive Still On The Run
Waitakere City - The Armed Offenders Squad was this afternoon called to a Glendene address following a lead that the fugitive William Morris was there. The Armed Offender Squad later stood down after it became apparent that Morris was not at the address.
The two occupants of the house are helping police with their investigation.
Police have been looking for Morris for some time although the hunt escalated after he threatened occupants at a West Auckland house yesterday morning and discharged a firearm in Avondale last night.
Morris is wanted on a number of serious charges including kidnapping, threatening to kill, vehicle theft, intimidation, serious assaults and firearm offences.
Police say his behaviour is become increasingly unpredictable and erratic and he is a desperate and dangerous man. Under no circumstances should he be approached.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of William Morris please contact Henderson Police on 09 839 0600.
