Armed Hold-Up At BNZ Meadowland Dr, Howick
Police report that an armed hold-up has taken place at the BNZ Meadowlands branch.
Police say one male offender entered BNZ armed with a pistol. Fired one shot into air then pointed firearm at teller and demanded cash. The offender then fled scene with an unknown amount of cash.
A person fitting the suspect description was seen driving not far from the scene by a Police Patrol. A short pursuit ensued (2 mins) before the vehicle stopped in a private driveway.
The offender was apprehended, cash recovered, and an air pistol recovered. Matter is presently been dealt with by Howick Police.
There was no injury to any person/s during the robbery or pursuit.
