12.45 Nelson from Zimbabwe. The question of whether the New Zealand cricket team tours Zimbabwe is fast escalating into
an international diplomatic stoush… Phil Goff has been in talks with his Australian and English counterparts over the
weekend in an effort to garner support to cancel the tour but the commercial interests of the ICC are currently winning
out. Sports commentator Graeme Hill gives his take on the situation,as does a former member of the Zimbabwe government
who has fled the region due to untenable political oppression.
1.00 Ian Gaskin. Black and Gold cabs Ltd. Last week a report came out from the Auditor Generals office that slams Land
Transport New Zealand's management of the taxi industry. It comes as no surprise to who has made several complaints to
Land Transport NZ about drivers taking methamphetamine but was told there was nothing the regulator could do. Gaskin
feels vindicated by the report
1.20 Andy Knackstead LTNZ The dressing down from the auditor generals office shouldn't come as a surprise to LTNZ as
this was a follow on report from work done in 1997, so why is the industry still in such a dire state of affairs??
