It's Time For Democrats to Go On The Offensive
By Angie Pratt
It is time for Democrats to go on the offensive. It is time for them to aggressive attack what George W. Bush and the Republican party is doing to this wonderful country of ours -- namely destroying it financially and culturally.
The time is now to take the fight to the other side. George Bush and the Republican party are in complete denial about just how bad off they have made this country. Their financial irresponsibility is quickly bringing on a crisis that may engulf the world in a recession/depression.
On the day that the World banks says that the world is heading into a recession whose severity will be tied to world investors' confidence in US securities, George W. Bush stands beside a filing cabinet in Washington and declares US Government backed securities worthless.
George Bush is personally shredding the credibility of the United States financially just as he has shredded its foreign policy credibility. He should be forced to resign for his incompetence.
Democrats need to not only shout at the top of their lungs about this stupidity they need to be strong and actually start discussions on what it's going to take to restore this country's financial strength.
The Huge budget deficits and foreign trade deficits that George Bush and the Republican Party have run up during their stewardship is criminal.
The fact of the matter is that the handwriting is now on the wall. We are going into a recession/depression. Nobody is going to be happy. The medicine is going to hurt. Democrats need to show their backbone and put forth ideas that will stop this bleeding.
It's time for Democrats to say, "You're Dad Gum right we're talking raising taxes."
Even dumbbunnies knows that revenues have to equal expenditures. We need to start with re-implementing PAYGO. No more new tax cuts without spending cuts.
The second thing we need to do is to eliminate the salary cap on Social Security funding.
The third thing we need to do is repeal the disastrous Bush tax cuts. The idea to make them permanent is ridiculous in a time of impending national financial bankruptcy.
It's time to pin the tail on the elephant. Saying "I told you so" after the fact just isn't enough
