Published: Fri 25 Mar 2005 04:36 PM
In a performance that will be echoed all over the world over the coming 48 hours, a group of youth from the St Anne's Parish Samoan Sunday School today re-enacted The Passion of Jesus Christ in Newtown, Wellington. As parish priest Father Gerard Burns read the account of the Passion in the Gospel of John, the group mimed Jesus's arrest, trials, scourging, crowning with a thorns and finally his crucifixion. – Photos by Alastair Thompson
