Articles and Answers is an educational site devoted to teaching the basics of politics and economy. The site teaches things most people haven't learned, but need to know in order to make informed decisions about their government.
One of the goals of Articles and Answers is to provide you with a better understanding of terms that you hear every day in the news, and probably don't fully comprehend. We will do this through articles, graphs, charts, and tables. If you are a Ph.D. or have a GED, we have something for you.
Our website consists of 13 pages as follows: (click on the underlined name to go directly to a specific page).
1. HOME http://www.articlesandanswers.com/ - describes the purpose of the site.
2. JUST FOR TODAY - this page will change on a regular basis and have short comments on any number of subjects. Don't forget to download your free award-winning ALEXA toolbar from this page.
3. WOW BY WALRATH - Words Of Wisdom by Walrath written by our in-house budget analyst and economics expert, Richard Walrath. The articles are generally "easy reading", occasionally filled with humor, always educational and "right on target".
4. PATRICIA JOHNSON - articles are investigational in nature, often accompanied by charts and tables, and usually have embedded hyperlinks for instant confirmation of data.
5. QUIZ - are you able to answer all the questions? Reading the articles and reviewing the site will provide answers to most questions.
6. ANSWERS - all questions will eventually be answered on this page.
7. ALL-IN-ONE BOX - this page contains a fact-finding research tool that will provide you with an enormous amount of information on Federal and State legislators, voting history, current bills, and online tools for writing to any elected official, as well as information on current issues.
8. NEWS AND MORE - page contains links to various news and general information resources. Want to register to vote? Click on the corresponding link. Want to renew your driver's license? Click on the corresponding link.
9. PLACES TO VISIT - spend some time at the Whitehouse, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and U.S. Supreme Court. Look up U.S. Code, and spend time browsing the National Records Archive.
10. U.S. CABINET - visit the departments of U.S. Cabinet members.
11. CALENDAR - our calendar lists the dates and times major economic reports will be released during the month. Each month, a few of these indicators will be explained in detail -- where the information comes from, what period of time is covered, how the data is determined and whether or not the release is a "market moving" indicator.
12. GUESTBOOK - sign our guestbook and let us know what you think of the site, or send an e-mail to Comments@articlesandanswers.com
13. BULLETIN BOARD - if you've never posted to a discussion board, this is your chance to practice. Our board is new and open for general discussion. Don't know what to say? For starters, say what you think about any subject. Write what you think about global warming, abortion, gay marriage, or the war in Iraq.
Don't want to discuss important issues? Write about a new tip or trick learned while planting your garden, repairing your car, or building your house.
Have you been to a new website that you want to share? Tell us what you like about it and share the URL. Need a question answered? Post the question on the discussion board and perhaps someone will know the answer.
Can't figure out how to post? Send an e-mail to Comments@articlesandanswers.com and we'll walk you through the process.
Good Luck Posting!
