Hikoi: 5000 Plus Gather To March On Parliament
Over 5000 people have joined the Hikoi that will march on Parliament this morning.
Scoop’s co-editor Alastair Thompson is at the Hikoi and reports a determined but peaceful mood among the protesters.
Weather conditions are cold but it is not raining. Leaders at the front of the Hikoi are chanting, drawing attention to
grievances of the past and of today.

electricity wires, are ensuring Wellington’s trolley-bus lines are not live. The Hikoi’s frontline is at Te Papa and
stretches down Wakefield and Cabel streets.
