Police Explode Suspected Bomb In Grafton Auckland
Park Road and Grafton area of Auckland has been cordoned off today after Police exploded a suspected bomb.
Police became suspicious of a suitcase after Telecom received a call about 5:30am claiming a bomb had been planted in a dis-used service station on Park Road.
A large black suitcase (with a red light on top) was found at the scene.
Auckland Hospital evacuated patients from some wards and elective surgery and outpatient clinics were cancelled.
Police exploded the suitcase and are examining its remains to ascertain what the case contained.
