I Feel A Change Is A Comin’
I feel a change is a comin’. The Peace is going to topple both Bush and Blair. How pissed off will the Bush family be with Saddam that they won two wars against him and lost two elections!
Bush and Blair now seem to be squarely in the sights of Weapons of Mass Destruction and those that were shanghaied into supporting the war.
Those that were conned were lambasted in the press and are now exacting revenge. Revenge that is all the sweeter for getting to unravel the long string of lies over Iraq.
The Why is top of the agenda in the UK, The Who is the top in the U.S. but it will soon be The How. The Who will topple Cheney, The How will topple Rumsfeld. Then The What (have you done) will topple both Bush and Blair.
We - those that opposed the War for the reasons that it was sought, the manner it was approached and the repercussions of the peace (as opposed to the various looney left who just oppose war) - are now vindicated.
Just tell people that he is a bad man - was the call - that his people suffer, that we are liberating them and then passing onto the U.N. - and everyone concerned would be heroes. Yeah right!
Streets could be named after them all:
A Bush Avenue (A long straight street with no ability to make turns or change direction);
A Blair Street (A long and confused road with millions of turnings depending on what the other drivers do);
A Rumsfeld Close, (A high speed, modern expressway that ends nowhere and costs lives);
and A Cheney Lane (Runs into Bush Avenue and then runs parallel to it without being able to glimpsed from Bush Avenue).
It is just a matter of time now. Blood is in the water. What looked a safe bet now looks like a good fight. No-one likes a winner, no-one likes a cheat, and no-one likes a liar. And now, people are no longer scared of them all.
Here in the United Kingdom Alistair Campbell terrified the press like Rumsfeld did in the U.S. Now, the fear has gone and the Press sees both of them for the bullies they are. It is going to be a brutal six months. Interesting as you watch the new Romes' fall. I hope that you like the sound of fiddling.
