In one of Broadcasting's worst kept secrets, Bill Ralston was officially installed as head of news and current affairs at TVNZ this week. Bill himself has been talking to lots of media people all week and is a little tired of it all. Therefore, Nationals Broadcasting spokesperson Katherine Rich will discuss his appointment and offer her predictions of where Bill will take the national broadcaster.
In what will be the biggest deployment of NZ troops since the second world war, it was announced this week that we, along with our Australian counterparts, will be sending both police and army personnel to the lawless Solomon Islands. Foreign minister Phil Goff will join us to discuss the situation in the Solomons and why our presence there is necessary.
Jeremy 'Newsboy' Wells will be along to round out the sporting week.
And we'll wrap things up with the 'Unitec school of performing arts' film review care of Ant Timpson.
Aucklanders can tune in at 95 on the FM dial.
From the desk of Renee Mundy, 95bFM Radio, News and Editorial Director
