into what the Burmese military government calls 'protective custody' amid bloody clashes just weeks ago. Prior to this
she was held in house arrest for most of the 1990's against her will. Tinmama a 16 year old refugee from the Auckland
Burmese Society and also a student at Selwyn College has had first hand experiences under this regime, today she shares
her story.
