Hi folks,
Just a quick note to point you to the recent postings on Public Address. Among other things, I've been banging on about war, Chad has been to the King's Arms and Debra has made the week's best post.
Cheers,

Russell Brown's Hard News
Should a man who can't pronounce "nuclear" be allowed in charge of weapons?
The first part of George W. Bush's State of the Union speech yesterday was an incoherent grab-bag of soundbite announcements. Hydrogen cars! Woo! One characteristic of the initiatives seemed to be that they were addressing problems his administration had created: the hydrogen cars (everything from blowing out Kyoto to kneecapping California's zero-emission laws and lopping half a billion dollars off the budget of ..

As I write, the windchill outside is minus fourteen degrees Celsius. I'm all for braving the elements, but when you've got a monstrous head-cold yourself, it's hard to muster up the oomph to get out in subzero weather, even to go and watch chunks of ice floating down the Hudson River in the hope of seeing a polar bear perched on top of one. Debra Daley's astral plane
So you order a book online, say, "Great Expectations", and you get a message telling you that people who bought that book also bought "Carol Dickens's Guide to Pregnancy", "Bah! Humbug! Making Dickensian Archetypes Work For Your Business" and "Grate Expectations: Fireplace Renovation On A Budget." Same kind of crazy categorising is happening to me in the om-tinkly-crystal world of mind-body modalities. I downloaded a yoga newsletter and now I'm being flooded with information about ...

Tex Perkins and the Dark Horses at the Hopetoun Hotel, Surry Hills, 25 Jan
How long has it been since my last afternoon pub gig? So long I can't remember who it was, where it was or when it was, confirming I guess, Tex Perkins' opening remark: "Welcome to everybody too old and uncool to be at the Big Day Out." ...
