Bring Back Responsible Parenting
Sir,
While I am sure the $250m pay deal recommendations for secondary school teachers presented by the arbitration panel are a vindication of the stand taken by the PPTA and its membership, does it actually address the underlying problem faced by teachers?
The issue was one more of the workloads being imposed than the actual pay scales. These loads have escalated over the past 15 years to the point where they are reported to be intolerable.
While a pay increase will be welcomed by teachers I wonder if they have considered the fact they will now be expected by government and many in the community to "put-up and shut-up".
Increasing pay scales while continuing to impose the burden of being, not only a child's educator, but their evening and weekend care-giver, de-facto parent and provider of meals as well does nothing to resolve the issue.
Encouraging a return to responsible parenting would.

Loved Your Article On Top Anthrax Suspects
Great article on the top anthrax suspects -- I found it through rense.com. I just wanted to forward the URL from a Mexican-American news site claiming a microbiologist named Dr. Philip Zack was behind the attacks: http://www.aztlan.net/zack.htm
Although there is strong circumstantial evidence against Zack personally, most news articles from the alternative press indicate the attacks must have been "top down". One article online claimed the photo editor in Florida who died had dared write about the Bush daughters' problems with alcohol and their "white trash" tendencies. I don't know if this is true, because I don't read the "Sun". However, I thought it was odd that Democratic leadership was targeted and not Republican.
Also, your pick of Tommy Thompson seems very possible to someone from Wisconsin like me. It was a joke when Thompson was appointed head of Health & Human Services, based on his "good record" of "reforming welfare" in Wisconsin. Thompson was famous across the country for deaths of children who had no child care while their mothers were forced to work under the new welfare "reform" laws. There were news stories all over TV about more children dying each week from "neglect" under Tommy Thompson. Of course the children's mothers were always blamed, but $5+ per hour for minimum wage doesn't buy child care, especially for someone with multiple children. Tommy Thompson the child-killer... just what W wanted for his Health & Human Services Secretary...

You've got to be kidding!!! This is the same woman who tried to accept the donations from Saudi Arabia. That the US refused to accept. The week of the attack on the trade center. She had no remorse over the attack at all but that is just the small stuff. This woman is fixing to be voted out by her on district because of all the government corruption in Atlanta Georgia these days. Get a copy of the Atlanta constitution and read all about her even before 9/11 she's a babbling idiot. If you think I'm kidding ask anyone in Atlanta or in any city in Georgia The truth may be out there but not in her. She's the biggest joke around here.
