Scoop Update #8
***************
Dear My Scoop Subscribers And Readers,
Phew!
Well, we are nearly there. A few more days and we will have a new Government.
So be sure to get out and vote tomorrow. Otherwise you can only blame yourself if you end up with something less than
you desire.
Here at Scoop we have, as you have probably noticed, been rather busy.
It is at times like this that the true value of Scoop to the political process is displayed at its best. How else could
anyone have found out what was really going on with Corngate?
It appears that even the wonderfully informed folk at the Listener turned to Scoop to find out what the scientists were
saying in the debate over the missing cornseed tests.
And if you were curious about what Peter Dunne has been saying for the past three years, there is only one place to find
out.
From a Scoop audience perspective there have been more of you lately than at any stage in Scoop’s three year history.
Traffic on the Scoop website has been running at roughly double levels it was just two months ago and we are rapidly
approaching the million pages a month mark. So thanks for reading, and keep dropping in.
Tomorrow night we are planning a few festivities at the Scoop HQ, and in between the bevvies will be providing LIVE
BREAKING NEWS coverage of the election. Those of you who are subscribed to the My Scoop NEWSFLASH service can expect to
get a few through the evening as key results come in.
And of course, once the dust has settled, Scoop will still be here to help make sense of what comes next.
Meantime… there is still time – But Not Much! - to enter the Scoop Guess 2002 Sweepstake in which you have a chance to
win a REALLY USEFUL BOOK by picking tomorrow night’s election result.
