Vigil and Ceremony 5pm Today - Wellington Cenotaph

PMA vigil will take place today, Thursday April 11 2002, at 5.00pm at the Wellington Cenotaph and will be followed by a ceremony organised by the Wellington Palestine group.
The Wreath Laying Ceremony is for the Recent Massacres in the West Bank, and Occupied Palestine.
The Cenotaph is located on the corner of Bowen and Lambton Quay, Wellington.
“They are not gone who live in the hearts of those they leave behind. We understand death for the first time when He puts His hand on the one we love.”
The Ceremony will consist of the following readings: ‘Dead are my people’ by Khalil Gibran, readings from the Koran/Bible/Torah, 1 minute of silence, Wreath, and then a closure.
The Ceremony is being hosted by Wellington Palestine Group and Students for Justice in Palestine.
