Street Scenes Described Across USA

Published: Wed 12 Sep 2001 08:54 AM
I listened to ABC news the whole way down here. Not any real problems on the road. All the major buildings are shut down in town.
The news is just horrible. I cant stand to watch, but i cant stand to not watch. I just hope this is the last of it. A guy I talk to online in Long Island was so scared. He was supposed to be in the city today working.
In Oregon, everything is being shut down. All the major buildings in town, malls, federal buildings of course.
A plane that went down in Pennsylvania - supposedly in Sommerset. Thats a town away from my brother and his wife and kids.
And the damn Pentagon!! This is just insane. Like a movie. All the airports are shut down. Trains are being searched for bombs. Schools are shut down. I dont know if all the planes that are missing are accounted for. I just feel so sad for those people who had to sit in their seats and watch as the plane they were on crashed into the two buildings. It was unreal to watch. I am so shaken up about it. I pray for this to stop, will you? And also that the US govt and military has enough sense to think this through before placing blame and taking action.
