Scoop Images: Fire In The Sky, Snow On The Ground

More images of the environs of the most photogenic mountain village in the world taken by Norman Mackay .
Early Morning Snow - taken on the morning of the 14the June this year at about 7.45am. It was taken looking up Lake Ohau with snow falling and a brooding sky overhead. The air temperature was about 1C.
Fire In The Sky - taken on the morning of the 23rd June this year at about 7.50am. The view is of Lake Ohau with the Ben Ohau mountain range behind. We only see skies such as this at certain times of the year, and the colours only last for a few minutes. You need to be up early, and have your camera readied should a sky such as this appear at short notice.
