Business Confidence Vindicates Govt, Clark Says

The Government’s policies, which have raised the ire of many in business, have been “absolutely vindicated” by the latest surveys showing business confidence rebounding, Prime Minister Helen Clark said today.
“As the rhetoric becomes a distant memory and people deal with the here and now, people will realise that the stories just weren’t true,” Miss Clark said of the torrent of doom and gloom coming from business over the Employment Relations Act and the renationalisation of workplace insurance.
“The majority of employers are good employers and have nothing to worry about,” she said. “The reality was that life would go on.”
