Tomorrow’s S11 protests in Melbourne could be even bigger, with Unions making their presence felt, Green MP Nandor
Tanczos said.
He said as far as he knew, protesters would continue to try to block delegates entering the Crown Casino tomorrow, and
said there was a New Zealand contingent who would take particular interest in Finance Minister Michael Cullen’s arrival
at the forum tomorrow morning.
Mr Tanczos said today has shown people it is safe to protest, so more people will want to join in.
Numbers at the S11 protests have dwindled since this morning, but the blockade is still in effect and delegates are
still unable to get into the Crown Casino, Mr Tanczos said.
Mr Tanczos, who along with fellow Green MP Sue Bradford is among the protesters in Melbourne, said there is a general
feeling amongst the protesters that the day has been successful, having achieved their aim of disrupting the World
Economic Forum.
He said he did not know how much, if any, work the delegates who made it into the Casino have done today.
