Newsflash: Protestors Occupy Australian Consulate General
Protesters have occupied the Australian Consulate General office in Auckland.
The protestors have been asked to leave, and most media have now left the foyer of the Australian Consulate General Office, where a peaceful protest of around 35 people is taking place.
Earlier the protestors marched down Queen Street, obstructing traffic. There was no police presence either on the march or in the office of the Australian Consulate General.
Inquiries staff at the Australian Consulate General are continuing to process visa applications.
The protesters have said they plan to leave when police arrive.
The protestors are occupying the office in solidarity with S11 protesters in Melbourne, protesting against the World Economic Forum.
Scoop has just heard the occupation has ended.
