BREAKING NEWS - SPEIGHT SAYS NO DEAL....
George Speight has just held a press conference in Suva rejecting again the offers of a resolution to the Crisis and according to Michael Field live in Suva - reported on Radio New Zealand - saying that Commodore Bainimarana is just "President Ratu Mara in drag".
An ABC correspondent told RNZ that Commodore Bainimarama was just "Ratu Mara in Military Uniform".
Earlier this morning Speight was reported as saying he was happy with his negotiations with the Military.
No meeting has started. Speight says he wants a military that is united behind him and the release of armed men arrested last night.
He has offered to arrange for a media pool to meet with former Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry.
Michael Field said it was alarming that there did not in fact appear to be any security around Parliament and that two truckloads of heavies in boiler suits had arrived. They were unarmed.
