Following a meeting of the Great Council of Chiefs in Suva today Chairman Sitiveni Rambuka has declared that the chiefs
support the President and that they want the hostages taken by Coup Leader George Speight released immediately.
However, the chiefs will meet again to consider constitutional reform.
