Another day on the streets of Washington DC this morning began with reports of a police crackdown, and rain.
Police appeared to be isolating groups of protestors, hemming them in and arresting them before they could make much
progress towards the centre of town where the IMF and World Bank are holding their meetings.
Many Washington DC civil servants were told to stay at home today to enable the Police to establish a protestor free
zone around the meetings.
