Last night a function was held to launch Sir Robert Jones book Full Circle in the Great Hall at Parliament. Hosted by friend and Speaker Jonathan Hunt Scoop was among the invitees - Photos Alastair Thompson.
Speaker Jonathan Hunt - Order. Order. Where is Sir Bob?
Interjection: Out having a smoke - that's your rule
Speaker: and a very good rule too..
Speaker: I haven't read the book yet - Bob told me not to.
National Press Club's Peter Isaac bemoaning the state of the NZ media until it read Sir Bob's book.
Dr Margaret Clark said Sir Bob's book was a great read and deeper than it looked.
Speaker: Winston as the second longest serving member of Parliament will you propose a toast.
Winston Peters: Raise your glasses to to Sir Bob.
Sir Bob: Look, its not about about a floating brothel!
Sir Bob: What are you doing here sludge?
Speaker: I invited him.
