Scoop Images: Campbell Back With Perks

Published: Sun 23 Jan 2000 11:55 PM
At the beginning the final day of the Crown Lager New Zealand Golf Open today only one Kiwi was in the top nine. By the end, with Kiwis Michael Campbell and Craig Perks on the winners dias, New Zealand Golf had received a much needed "perk" up. The contest ended in a nail-biting playoff between Michael Campbell and the rising star Perks. A draw in the first playoff led to another playoff...Campbell's ball settled nicely on the green and Perks in the rough. Then victory for Campbell. The crowd, sponsors and organisers were delighted...Scoop was there to record the action.
