Clarion Hotel Shepherdstown Chosen For Peace Talks

on the Site for Israeli-Syrian Negotiations
Washington, D.C.
December 21, 1999
The Department of State has chosen the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, as the site for Israeli-Syrian negotiations. The negotiations will begin on January 3, 2000. Negotiating teams from both delegations, as well as members of the American peace team, will be staying at the conference center for the duration of the talks. Arrangements for the press will be announced at a later date.
