Papanui Library and Service Centre re-opens
After six weeks of building alterations, the Papanui Library and Service Centre will re-open on Monday 20 December.
The library and service centre functions have been integrated to enable customers to get council information and use library materials at just one service point.
"We are aiming to offer maximum convenience and excellent service," said Erica Rankin, Papanui Community Librarian. "Customers will no longer have to go to different areas of the building to pay their rates, renew their dog licence, borrow books and use library information."
Opening hours have been adjusted to reflect the integrated service. From Monday 20 December the new library and service centre will open at 9am Monday – Friday. It will close at 5.30pm each day, except on Fridays when it will open until 8.30pm. Service centre and library services will also be available on Saturdays 10am – 1pm.
